ಪವನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಚಿತ್ರ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ವಾಸ್ತವ ಮತ್ತು ಕನಸುಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಎರಡು ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನ ಹೆಣೆದಿರುವ ರೀತಿಯೇ ಅದ್ಭುತ.

ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಂದಿರದಿಂದ ಹೊರ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅನುಮಾನಗಳು ಉಳಿಯಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಿಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನ ಬಿಡಿಸಲು, ಪವನ್ ಬೇಕೆಂದೇ ಸಮಯ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿತು. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಸೈಕಲಾಜಿಕಲ್ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಕಥೆ ಹೊಚ್ಚ ಹೊಸದು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಇಂಟರವಲ್ ನಂತರ ಕೊಂಚ ನಿಧಾನಗತಿಯ ಪಯಣ.

ಮೆದುಳನ್ನ ಮನೇಲಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡಿ ಎಂದು ಘಂಟಾಘೋಷವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳೋರು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿರೋ ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆದುಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಕೊಡೋ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಪವನ್. ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿ. ನಿರಾಸೆ ಆಗಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿ

ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಅಂದರೆ ಬೆಳಕು! ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಪ್ಪು / ಬಿಳುಪು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾಣುವ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳು ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅದರ ನಿಜ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳು ಬಯಲಾಗುವಂತೆಯೇ, ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಕನಸು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಪ್ಪು ಬಿಳುಪಿನ ವಾಸ್ತವಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಓಡಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

‘ಲೂಸಿಯಾ' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಭಾಗ ಸ್ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಕಲನ. ಎರಡೆರಡು ಶೇಡ್ ಗಳಿರುವಂತಹ ಸ್ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಟ್ ಬರೆಯಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದ ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಂದಾದ ನಂತರ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೋಡಿಸುವುದು ಕೂಡ ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ತಾಳ್ಮೆ ಬೇಕು.

ಎರಡೂ ಶೇಡ್ ಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ, ಭಟ್ಟರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಲೇ ಬೇಕು. ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಗೂಂಡಾಗಳನ್ನು ಸದೆಬಡಿಯುವುದು ಕಂಡು ಬೇಸತ್ತ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕಥೆ ‘ಲೂಸಿಯಾ' ವನ್ನು ಉಣಬಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ‘ಪವನ್' ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದವರು.

Dream Come True: ಸಿನಿ ಸಿಂಚನ

Pawan Kumar's Lucia turns my dream into reality. It has a brilliant concept, one that leaves you with a ‘wow' feeling at the climax; some beautifully executed scenes and some first rate acting. Not that the film doesn't have any issues, but boy, what a concept! Lucia is a story that plays on your idea of a good life.

Lucia is a brave attempt, considering that it has no mainstream heroes or producers. When you add in the fact that film has a remarkable concept that almost borders on being a philosophical thriller, you know this is a very good film. Read full review here

ಲೂಸಿಯ ನೋಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಅನಿಸಿದ್ದು...ಪವನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಿ-ಆರ್ಡರ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾಯ್ತು...ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿ ನಾಟಿ ಹುಳ ಬಿಡ್ತಿದ್ರು...ಈಗ ಇವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಹೈಬ್ರಿಡ್ ಹುಳ ಬಿಟ್ಟವ್ರೆ..ಓಂ ಥರ ರಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ದೆ-ಪಿಜ್ಜಾ ಹಾಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಗರದ ಚಿತ್ರ...ಕಥೆ-ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ-ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ-ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಕ್ಕತ್ತಾಗಿದೆ..ಎಲ್ಲರದ್ದು ಅದ್ಬುತ ನಟನೆ...ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ನೋಡಲೆಬೇಕಾದ ಅತ್ತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರ...

ಮುಂಬೈ ಬಾಸ್ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ

Director Pawan Kumar's new Kannada film Lucia is a mystery movie with a surprise twist in the end. In other words, it's not your average Sandalwood potboiler.

The parallel stories are however unequally weighted in favour of Nikki the usher. Nikki the movie star is a mystery and some of his actions remain unexplained even after the denouement. The police investigation is something of a joke as the cops get to the bottom of the case far too easily.

Kumar maintains a steady, if not engrossing, pace with amusing digressions such as Nikki's attempts to learn English and antics such as the silly song and dance routine "Jamma Jamma" that takes a dig at item numbers.-MB

With so many ideas battling for attention at any given point during the 135-minute running time, it's hardly surprising that Lucia collapses under the weight of its ambitions, but not before rolling out engaging characters, relatable dialogue, quirky humour and evocative locations in and around Bangalore.

Kumar correctly suggests that neither experience is as uncomplicated as it appears, but then he has the rest of the stuff to deal with-the dream pill business, the single-screen cinema that has to be saved from creditors, the police and detective who pop up every now and then.-Livemint

Stuck in a maze-ಶ್ಯಾಮ್ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್

The film works like a psychiatrist trying to interpret the dreams of a patient. Instead of building up the suspense, it leads to a maze of confusion. The only interesting turn comes too late in the day to save the film.

There were no hazards in guessing from the trailers that the film looked like a Sandalwoodised version of Hollywood disaster, Last Action Hero.

The whole story is about how Satish gets slipped into the critical condition he is in. This hardly leaves any scope for suspense. There is a promising music director in Poornachandra Tejaswi.

Lucia does not have the humour of Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne, nor does it have the extravagance of Last Action Hero.-Read more

ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿ ಬಂದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ದುಡ್ಡು ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಚಿತ್ರ ಇದು ಅನ್ನೋದು ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿಟವೋ, ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಸಬ್ಜೆಕ್ಟ್ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಅಷ್ಟೇ ದಿಟ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ ಸುಳುಗಳಿಲ್ಲ, ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರಾರು ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಿಲ್ಲ, ಚಿತ್ರ ಹೊರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆದರೆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಳ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಿಡಿತವಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಗಿರುತ್ತೇವೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರತು ಪಡಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾವು ಕಾಣುವ ಕನಸೇ ಲೂಸಿಯಾ. ಪವನ್ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ ಹೆಣೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಿ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇಂತಹ ಹೊಸ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಿ-ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಶಿವಶಂಕರ್

Watched Lucia....just got mind fucked...it s truly an international movie..i didnt see anything like this in Indian screen so far..simply mindblowing..this movie for the people who r obsessed with World cinema and Hollywood films...Pawan Kumar u r simply genius...my question s is ter something called Lucid Dreams? or is it just a science fiction..?-ಶಿವಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಸುಳಿ

ಪದಗಳೇ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ-ಅನಂತ್

LUCIA !!! No reviews, no explanations about this much hyped Kannada film from me. One cannot just explain this film with just words. And enough has been already said about performances of everyone in the film, camera work, music etc etc.

My dear non-kannadiga friends, do go and watch the movie in your nearest theatres. It is released with English sub titles. I shall guarantee that you WILL like the movie. Last but not the least, film not only has met but has exceeded the expectations !!! Hats off to the entire LUCIA team.-ಅನಂತ ಜೋಯಿಸ್

ಪವನ್ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಮೋರಿ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಯಾವುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಫ್ರೀ! ಹಿಂದಿನ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಯಾವುದಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಅದೇ ಬಹುಮಾನ !

ಲೂಸಿಯಾ ಎರಡೆರಡು ಸಲ ನೋಡಬೇಕಾದ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಕನಸು ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಸ್ತವ ಎರಡರಲ್ಲೂ ಚಂದದ ಹಾಡುಗಳಿವೆ. ಸಿದ್ದಾರ್ಥ್ ಸುನಿ ಚೆಂದದ ಕನಸಂತೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್ ಗಿಂತ ಸೂಕ್ತ ನಟನನ್ನು ಊಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ.
