10 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು 50 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉಣಿಸುವ ಧಾವಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡುಗೆಗೆ ನೀರು ಸುರಿದರೆ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತದೋ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸುನಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಚಿತ್ರ ನಿಜದ ಸ್ವಾದ ಅರಿವಿಗೆ ಬಾರದೇ ಹೋಗಿದೆ. 2 ಹಂಚಿನ ರಂಜನೆಯ ರೈಲು ಬಿಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಭಾವುಕತೆಯ ಲೇಪವೂ ಇದೆ. ನಿಧಾನಗತಿಯೇ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಶತ್ರು. ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಏಕತಾನತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಗೀತದ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೂಡಾ ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಮುರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ನಗು-ಮುನಿಸುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯ ಹುಡುಗನಾಗಿ ರಿಷಿ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕದಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಸ್ಯ, ಲವಲವಿಕೆ, ಪ್ರೇಮದ ನವಿರುತನ, ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್ ಎಳೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ 'ಅಲಮೇಲಮ್ಮ'ನಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಚದುರಿದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಅನಿಸಬಹುದು -ಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ಭಟ್

ಕಾಮಿಡಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್ ಹೇಳುವ ಅಲಮೇಲಮ್ಮ: ವಿಜಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ

ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕನಿಗೆ ಕುತೂಹಲದ ಜತೆಗೆ ನಗೆಯನ್ನು ಉಕ್ಕಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಸುನಿ. ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಗೇಮ್ ಆಟದ ಅನುಭವ ನೀಡುವಂಥ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಇಂಥ ಕತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡರೂ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ನಿರೂಪಣಾ ಶೈಲಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಶೇಷವೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂಗೀತದಲ್ಲಿ ಫ್ರೆಶ್‌ನೆಸ್ ಇದೆ. ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ಗ್ರೌಂಡ್ ಸ್ಕೋರ್‌ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಲಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಬಾಲು ಕುಮುಟಾ, ಸಿನಿಮಾಟೋಗ್ರಫರ್ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಚಿತ್ರದ ಮತ್ತಿಬ್ಬರು ಹೀರೋಗಳು ಎನ್ನಬಹುದು. ನಾಯಕ ರಿಷಿ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯ ನಟನೆ ಚಿತ್ರಕತೆಗೆ ಮ್ಯಾಚ್ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 'ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಅಲಮೇಲಮ್ಮ' ಟೈಟಲ್ ಏಕೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಕೊನೆವರೆಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಲೇಬೇಕು. ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದವರಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಆಹ್ಲಾದಕರವಾಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯವಿಲ್ಲ -ಹರೀಶ್ ಬಸವರಾಜ್

ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಥೆಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಪರೇಷನ್: ವಿಜಯವಾಣಿ

ಒಂದೇ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ 2 ಪ್ರಕಾರದ ಕಥೆ ಬೆರೆಸಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಸುನಿ. ಆದರೆ ಎರಡು ಕಥೆ ಒಂದೇ ವೇಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಮಜಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಾಯಕ-ನಾಯಕಿ ನಡುವಿನ ಪ್ರೇಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನೋದದ ಹೊನಲಿದೆ. ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೊನೆವರೆಗೂ ನಗಿಸಲು ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಸರಕು ಇದೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಅತಿರೇಕ, ಆಡಂಬರವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸಿಂಪಲ್ ಲವ್ ಸ್ಟೋರಿ ವಿವರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸುನಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತಲೆಕೆಳಗು ಮಾಡುವಂತಹ ಕ್ಲೈಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್‌ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರ ರೋಚಕವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ರಾಜೇಶ್ ನಟರಂಗ ರವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಖದರ್ ಕಮ್ಮಿ. ರಿಷಿ-ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ನಟನೆಗೆ ಫುಲ್ ಮಾರ್ಕ್ಸ್ ಕೊಡಬಹುದು. ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂಗೀತ ಹಿಡಿದಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುನಿ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗೆ ಕಚಗುಳಿ ಇಡುವ ಗುಣವಿದೆ -ಮದನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಾಗರ

A Flimsy Operation: Bangalore Mirror

It was a simple operation and the patient is alive after the surgery. The film is supposedly a kidnap drama but is more of a love story in intent and content. The cute love story and the kidnap plot are held together on a flimsy thread and could well have been two separate stories. The film is not bad but leaves you unsatisfied, technically sound and does not have loose ends in the plot. There are good aerial shots and debutant cameraman Abhishek Kasargod makes his mark, especially in a point of view action scene. Judah Sandy scores two brilliant tunes. The real find of the film is Rishi. His is an easy and outstanding performance. Operation Alamelamma is not a routine Sandalwood film. But compared to the other new-generation films, falls short of expectations -Shyam Prasad S

Operation Alamelamma Movie Review: The Time of India

The film, which rides high on its writing and dialogues, is mostly a fun ride for the viewers, where they are often found laughing at the simple, but funny dialogues. The film has a first half that engages and entertains with lots of light moments. The second half, which has a lot of drama unfolding, ends up being a tad slow towards the end, which can get one fidgeting. The film scores high on technical values. Cinematographer Abhishek G Kasargod promises to be an asset to the Kannada film industry, given his work here. Judah Sandhy's songs and background score adds to the narrative.
