ಪ್ರತಿ ಊರಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕಾನೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ - ಉದಯವಾಣಿ

ಒಂದು ಊರಿನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಪಾತ್ರಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮನರಂಜನೆ ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥಾವಸ್ತುವೇ ಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೂ ಆಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ಚ್ಯುತಿ ಬರದಂತೆ ಒಂದು ಮನರಂಜನಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು ಎಳೆದಾಡಿದಂತಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಟ್ರಿಮ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶವಿತ್ತು. ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಚುರುಕಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಬಹುಶಃ ಇದೊಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಬೇರೆ ಅಪಸ್ವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಂಡನ್ನೇ ಕಲೆಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಾಗಾಭರಣ - ಚೇತನ್ ನಾಡಿಗೇರ್

The presence of seasoned actors, unsparing production values and a genuine concern for a cause do not make up for the lack of an engaging story. The film starts with men defecating in the open and ends with them using the toilets built in the village.
