‘ಸಂಹಾರ' ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹನಿ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಪ್ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು. ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ನಾಟಕ ಆಡಿ, ಯುವಕರಿಂದ ಹಣ ಕಿತ್ತು, ಅನಂತರ ಅವರ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನ ಕಿಸೆಗೆ ಕೈಹಾಕುವ ಯುವತಿಯ ಕಥೆ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಕೇಂದ್ರಬಿಂದು. ಇದನ್ನು ಒಂದರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಅಂತಲೂ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು. ಹರಿಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಅವರ ಅಭಿನಯವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವರು ನಾಯಕನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವ ಬಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ ‘ವಾವ್' ಅನ್ನದಿರಲು ಆಗದು! ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಕಾವ್ಯಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಇಡುವ ಕಚಗುಳಿಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ - ವಿಜಯ್ ಜೋಷಿ

ಇದೊಂದು ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್‌ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್‌ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಸಿಡ್ನಿ ಶೆಲ್ಡಾನ್ ಮುಂತಾದವರ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಚಿತ್ರ ಹೇಗಿರಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಮಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಹೀರೋ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದು ಕಥೆ. ತಮಿಳಿನ "ಅದೇ ಕಂಗಳ್' ಎಂಬ ಚಿತ್ರದ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಈ "ಸಂಹಾರ'. "ಅದೇ ಕಂಗಳ್' ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹಿಟ್‌ ಚಿತ್ರವೇನಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಪಡೆದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸದೇ, ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಗುರು ದೇಶಪಾಂಡೆ. ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆಯೇ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಜೀವಾಳ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೂರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಟ್ವಿಸ್ಟುಗಳೇ ಸಾಕು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಪ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ನೇಟಿವಿಟಿಗೆ ಕೂರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅವರು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಥೆ ಪ್ಲಸ್‌ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಆ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಒಂದು ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಗುರುಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲ'' - ಚೇತನ್ ನಾಡಿಗೇರ್

ಚಿತ್ರದೊಳಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಸಾರ - ವಿಜಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ

ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಲು ಹಲವು ಕಾರಣಗಳಿವೆ. ಚಿತ್ರಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೂ ತಿರುವುಗಳು ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಸಿನಿಮಾಟೋಗ್ರಫಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಗೀತದ ಜುಗಲ್ಬಂದಿ ಇದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೂ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೀವ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಹರಿಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಎನ್ನುವಂತೆ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎರಡು ಶೇಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಆ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಣ್ಣ ಸಖತ್‌ ನಗಿಸಿದರೆ, ಸಾಹಸ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ರೀತಿ ಖುಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂಹಾರ ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಹಾಗಂತ ನೋಡುಗರ ಮೆದುಳಿಗೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕದೇ, ನೀಟಾಗಿ ಕತೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು. ಯಾರು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಕುತೂಹಲವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ - ಶರಣು ಹುಲ್ಲೂರ

Inspired by the Tamil flick Adhe Kangal, Samhaara has every element needed to excite the audience. Though credit has to be given to the scriptwriter for the movie's universal appeal. Guru Deshpande does not alter the soul of the original movie and only extends the run of the remake, by 20 minutes. His talent shines through in the casting of the movie and strong dialogue delivery. One of the biggest plus points for this film is the narrative. While it begins on an uneven note, it catches the attention and manages to hold the attention of the viewers. The second half, especially, is a good treat. The twists towards the end are intriguing, even though they might seem a tad predictable. The background score adds to the appeal. One only wishes the screenplay was a little more tightly woven. When it comes to the performances, Hariprriya steals the show with a meaty and well written role. Chiranjeevi Sarja and Chikkanna have proven to be a good duo and they impress once again. This film isn't the out and out commercial film, but it has an interesting screenplay to ensure one gets a hatke watch this weekend. Go for it, you will be entertained - Sunayana Suresh
